Fennel Fanny Pack Digital Pattern

$12.00

This fanny pack takes only 4 pattern pieces. The instructions walk you through how to cut out the pieces by providing the exact dimensions and walking you through simple steps, so no printing is required!

It’s big enough to hold a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, and other odds and ends like rocks you pick up at the beach. It stays out of the way, doesn't bounce around when you're cycling or walking, and keeps your hands free!

Finished dimensions:

7" x 3 3/4" x 1 3/4" (L x H x W)

Materials needed:

  • 1/4 yard fabric for outer layer

  • 1/4 yard fabric for lining

  • 7" zipper

  • 1” webbing the length of your waist circumference

  • 1 buckle for 1” webbing

"I absolutely adored sewing this little fanny pack!  Don't be put off by not having a physical pattern - drafting the 3 main pieces yourself lets you customize it at every step, and it's actually really, really simple!  I love the size this bag, and I LOVED how easy it was to customize it at every step (contrast topstitching, interesting zipper color choices, different fabrics for body and sides, the list goes on!).  It's super beginner-friendly, but also super fun, without being too involved or time-sucking (I finished mine in an afternoon!).  LOVE IT, already sewing one for bff, little bro, husband, coworker, etc - everyone wants one!"

"I  used some black leftover canvas I had in my sewing room, I love how this turned out, and I use it every day now as I hate using bags over the shoulders as they are always in my way!

This pattern is a very easy sew, it has a few tricks when you do the corners, you just have to go slow on these, the rest is easy peasy.

Instructions are super easy to follow too, what I really love about Sarah Kristen’s patterns is using measurements, instead of pattern pieces and clogging your sewing area with paper!"

The Sarah Kirsten fennel fanny pack pattern is easy to follow. I’ve never made a structured bag before, and I’m extremely pleased with the process and the results. Besides her clear directions, her patterns have an extra zero wastes plus – there is no pattern to print out as all the dimensions are included in the cutting instructions (love this so much!). I made mind from reclaimed materials. I used a suede upholstery sample for the body and a belt for the strap, and some vintage zippers. Keys, phone, wallet – all perfectly fit in the sleek little pack to make travel easy and stylish.
